TMUA masterclasses.
Two live sessions before the test. First a free session, then a £10 session run by two Cambridge students reading Maths and Computer Science, with over £200 worth of value.
Why it’s worth your weekend.
-
Oxford uses it now.
For 2027 entry, seven universities ask for the TMUA — Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial, LSE, UCL, Warwick and Durham. More applicants sitting it, the same number of places.
-
Paper 2 isn’t on any syllabus.
Necessary and sufficient, proof by contradiction, finding the broken step in an argument. It’s logic, not A-level content — and it’s where strong mathematicians drop marks.
-
Twenty questions, seventy-five minutes.
No calculator and under four minutes a question, twice over. Knowing when to move on is worth as much as knowing the method.
-
Small enough to ask.
Places are capped, so a question typed in the chat gets answered live — not saved for a Q&A that runs out of time.
Questions.
Are the two sessions different?
No. Each one works through real TMUA questions from both papers, and each stands on its own. Come to both and you get twice the practice, with a different pair of tutors the second time.
Who runs them?
Part 1 is run by a Warwick Maths student and an Imperial Aeronautical Engineering student. Part 2 is run by two Cambridge students — one reading Maths, one Computer Science.
What do I need?
Paper, a pen and two quiet hours. No calculator — the real test doesn’t allow one, so we don’t either.
How do I join?
It’s online. We email you the link 24 hours before and again about an hour before. Microphones stay muted and questions go in the chat. Cameras are optional — turn yours on if you like, or keep it off.
How do I pay for the second one?
By card, on Stripe’s secure payment page, when you book. Your place is confirmed the moment it goes through. If we have to cancel, you get the £10 back — and if you come and don’t think it was worth it, tell us and we’ll refund it.
Is it recorded?
No. It’s live, which is the point — you can ask.
I want more than two sessions.
Our tutors teach the TMUA one to one as well. Book a free consultation and we’ll talk about what would help most before the test.
